The hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) tester is tested by the colloidal gold method, using highly specific antibody antigen reaction and immunochromatographic analysis technology. The tester contains a detection area (T) and a quality control area that are pre-fixed on the membrane. (C) Antibody. During the test, a blood sample is dropped into the sample area (S), and the blood sample reacts with the anti-HBsAg monoclonal antibody bound to the pre-coated colloidal gold particles. The mixture is then chromatographed upwards under capillary effect. If it is positive, the colloidal gold antibody first binds to the HBsAg in the blood sample during the chromatography process, and then the conjugate will be bound by the HBsAg antibody immobilized on the membrane, and a purple-red line will appear in the detection zone (T). This purple-red line is formed by the complex of HBsAg antibody-HBsAg-gold label particles bound on the membrane. If it is negative, there will be no purple-red line in the detection zone (T). A magenta line appears in the control area (C) whether or not HBsAg is present in the blood sample. The purple-red line in the quality control area (C) is the standard for judging whether there are enough samples or whether the chromatography process is normal, and it is also used as the internal control standard of the Doctoreyes tester.

Notes on test results
Negative result: Any negative result cannot absolutely guarantee that there is no low concentration of HBsAg in the blood sample, so it should be retested at a different time.
Positive result: seek medical assistance as soon as possible.
